Blackwall raises €45m Series B to protect SMBs from malicious online traffic
March 12, 2025Born out of co-founders’ Nik Rozenberg CEO and Denis Prochko CTO experience battling malicious bots and hackers on their own websites, Blackwall (formerly BotGuard OÜ) defends businesses from the growing number of malicious autonomous agents online.
With around 50% of all global web traffic stemming from bots, the majority are malicious, ever aided by rapid developments in AI. While traditional solutions are priced and designed for enterprises, this leaves SMBs – subject to 43% of all cyber attacks and less likely to survive such a threat – potentially vulnerable.
Nikita Rozenberg, Co-Founder & CEO, commented: “With Blackwall, we are taking our mission to the next level—delivering gold-standard infrastructure protection to SMBs that have traditionally been overlooked. This funding enables us to scale globally and continue innovating for the businesses that need it most.”
Their €45m Series B, led by Dawn Capital, a UK based fund investing in the next generation of global software leaders, enables them to accelerate growth in U.S. and APAC markets. They will also continue innovating with new infrastructure and security products to better serve their partners.
The round follows just 12 months on from their Series A led by MMC Ventures, another UK based fund who also participated in this round.
